The Montessori School at Ken Caryl is a place for children
to become independent and develop their potential.
At MSKC children are able to freely express who they are each and every day.
We are a non-profit Montessori School serving the Littleton community. Each family and child experiences a difference in our program. We respect independence and value community. We adhere to the philosophy “follow the child,” which means that each child is an individual, and this uniqueness plays a critical role in education. Children help inform us of their potential, and they indicate how we can best help them move toward that potential.

“My Kids are so Happy Here. The teachers are kind and patient. They teach the kids to be respectful of one another. I like how my kids are exposed to so many different activities that teach them life skills. They get to do things that other schools wouldn’t consider (like hammering nails, sewing with needles and thread, cooking). One of my sons who has fine-motor difficulties, has increased these skills beyond my expectations. While the program is based on a child’s direction, the teachers are really good at getting them to practice activities that strengthen their weaknesses–all while enjoying it! All the people that work at the school are incredibly loving to the kids. Many of them have their own kids there, so they really get to know everyone very well. We also love the before-and-after care options and the optional programs throughout the day, like the tumble bus, dance, and music classes. I highly recommend the school!”
“Nurturing Toddler Environment. My daughter is enrolled in the toddler room at MSKC. She has really thrived in the nurturing environment there. Everyday that I drop her off, the teacher is on bended knee welcoming her, giving her a hug and telling her how glad she is to see her. There are thorough reports of your child’s day at pickup time as well as a verbal report. The children have a wide variety of learning opportunities and there are always options for enriched learning from tumbling to music classes.”
