Summer Program

MSKC Summer ProgramOur ten-week summer camp is an extension of the school year but with most of our learning materials taken outside.  The Summer Camp consists of themes such as dinosaurs/geology, botany/entomology, and more!  Digging out ‘fossils’ from plaster of paris, catching bugs and learning about their body, their eating habits, their homes and their family make-up is just a few of the activities that keep us inspired.  The children constantly crave for more!  The materials are set-up outside and plenty of exploring and discovery happens in our very own gardens.  Flowers, herbs and vegetables are in abundance in our gardens.  We also have a beautiful zen garden for students who crave a calm and tender moment of raking pebbles and quiet reflection.

Our Summer Camp also invites several guest speakers such as Hawk Quest (birds of pretty), KCME classical radio and their musicians, Tumble Bus, a piano teacher and our Kindermusik program instructor.  We also prepare many food recipes such as mango & pear salsa, churned butter and fresh bread, home-made applesauce and fruit kabobs.

NOTE:  we are closed for one week between the school year and the start of Summer Camp.
